The collaboration between Fortnite and Xbox, as well as PlayStation, is already well-known, but the opportunity for a partnership with Nintendo has yet to materialize. However, it seems that Epic Games has found a way to draw inspiration from Nintendo’s famous franchises to create skins, as noted by the gaming community.
Recently, Epic Games revealed the skins that will be introduced in the Fortnite Crew in August. These skins, titled Princess Leexa and Prince Orin, depict a duo of warriors prominently featuring their white armor.
Many Nintendo fans immediately associated these skins with characters from Fire Emblem. Specifically, comparisons were made with Corrin and Robin from Fire Emblem Fates and Fire Emblem Awakening, respectively.
While there are noticeable differences between these characters, some similarities have led some to question whether the designers at Epic Games were inspired by Nintendo’s characters.
For example, Leexa sports similarly colored eyes, white hair, and a black and white outfit reminiscent of the female version of Corrin. In turn, Orin features a hairstyle reminiscent of Robin’s, along with purple details in his attire.
The visual comparison between these characters is evident, raising the question: Did Epic Games directly draw inspiration from Nintendo’s characters, or is this just a coincidence? Share your opinion in the comments below.
