The new Fortnite Battle Royale v.31.20 update brings an epic showdown between heroes and villains with the special event “Day of Doom.” Inspired by Chapter 1: Season 8’s Endgame, this event pits players against Doctor Doom, who is consolidating his power and nearly completing his armor. Your mission is clear: help Marvel’s Avengers defeat Doom’s forces.
Choose Your Side and Fight!
In “Day of Doom,” up to 32 players are divided into two teams: Doctor Doom’s Henchmen and Avengers Allies. Both teams have auto-regeneration of health and shields outside of combat, along with immunity to fall damage and unlimited ammo.
- Doctor Doom’s Henchmen: Your goal is to collect Arcane Artifacts. After gathering all six, the Avengers can no longer respawn, leading your team to victory. The first player to collect an artifact becomes the “Doom’s Choice,” equipped with Doom’s powerful armor and devastating abilities like the Scorching Ray and Mystic Gigabomb.
- Avengers: As a hero, your mission is to defeat Doctor Doom’s forces before they collect all the artifacts. Each respawn equips you with gear based on iconic Avengers like Captain America, War Machine, Iron Man, and Black Panther, with each offering special abilities to balance the battle.
Powerful Gear
During the event, both sides have access to a variety of legendary and mythic weapons. For Doom’s Henchmen, items include Doctor Doom’s Arcane Gauntlets, Monarch Pistol, Sovereign Shotgun, and Shockwave Grenade with unlimited use. Meanwhile, Avengers get Captain America’s Shield, War Machine’s Arsenal, Iron Man’s Combat Kit, and Black Panther’s Claws, among others.
New Arsenal Arrivals
In addition to the intense battles, new items have arrived in the Shop, including the Iron Man Mark 45 outfit. This skin comes with high-tech accessories like the Energy Collector and Energy Blades, bringing extra sophistication to your hero. Also, watch for Stark Mobile Arsenals falling from the sky, equipping players with powerful futuristic weapons.
