Ahoy, matey! Disney’s renowned Pirates of the Caribbean franchise has sailed into the mysterious Cursed Waters and docked in Fortnite with the v.30.20 Battle Royale update, available from July 19. Embark on the ghostly Bottled Ship, explore Shipwreck Shore, and uncover buried treasures. The Cursed Waters adventure will be available until 5 AM (BRT) on August 6, 2024!
Nautical Adventures in Fortnite
In Cursed Waters, players can complete various themed Quests that reward them with buried treasures. By completing these tasks, you’ll unlock exclusive rewards from the Cursed Waters Pass, such as the Sword and Curse of Jack Pickaxe and Jack’s Prize Back Bling. Additionally, the Premium Reward Tracker offers additional items, including the Jack Sparrow Outfit, which is instantly unlocked upon purchasing the upgrade.
Sailing on New Vessels
During the event, you’ll have the chance to explore new ships, different from those used in the No Brakes season, while searching for Buried Treasures. Utilize the Bottled Ship, found in Chests scattered across the map, to summon a ghostly ship that can deal devastating damage to enemies.
Pirate Cannons and Buried Treasures
Engage in epic battles using the Pirate Cannon to launch yourself through the air and explore uncharted territories. Buried Treasure Maps, available in chests or scattered around the Island, will guide you to spots marked with an “X” where valuable rewards are hidden. Among the treasures, you may find the powerful Repulsor Pistol.
Complete Quests and Earn Rewards
By completing Cursed Waters Quests, you accumulate Cursed Gold, which can be used to unlock items from the Cursed Waters Pass. Navigate the Lobby to check your rewards and how much gold you have. The Pass offers a free reward tracker with 11 unlockable items, as well as a Premium Upgrade option for 1,000 V-Bucks, which includes the Jack Sparrow Outfit and other exclusive rewards.
Pirate Court Codes
The Cursed Waters Quests are divided into eight parts called “Pirate Codes.” Complete four Quests from each Code to unlock a Map Part, and by collecting all eight Parts, you will obtain Jack’s Ship Glider, turning the sky into your personal ocean.
