Fortnite Battle Royale Siphon Trials Explained

As part of the 2024 FNCS Global Championship, Siphon is making a return to Fortnite through the Siphon Trials. These trials will test various Siphon configurations in both Ranked Battle Royale, Ranked Zero Build, and in special tournaments.

Siphon hasn’t been active for over a year, and now we want to explore new versions of this feature for potential future tournaments. To achieve this, the Siphon Trials will change weekly, allowing us to collect data and determine which version works best for competitive play.

Siphon Trials Schedule:

  • Week 1 (starting today): 40 Effective Health
  • Week 2 (starting October 1): 50 Effective Health
  • Week 3 (starting October 8): 25 Effective Health
  • Week 4 (starting October 15): 75 Health over time (No Shield)
  • Week 5 (starting October 22): 50 Health (No Shield)
  • Week 6 (starting October 29): 25 Health + 25 Shield

This schedule may be adjusted based on player feedback to ensure the best possible experience.

Siphon in Ranked Battle Royale and Zero Build

During the Siphon Trials, Siphon will be active in both Ranked Battle Royale and Ranked Zero Build modes. However, Siphon will not be enabled in Ranked Reload. Tournament settings will also apply to these Ranked modes, with gameplay adjustments in place to maintain balance and competitiveness.

Siphon in Tournaments

All Battle Royale and Zero Build tournaments during the Siphon Trials will use the current week’s version of Siphon. The only exception is that Siphon will not be enabled in Fortnite Reload tournaments.

The goal of these trials is to find the best Siphon configuration that brings more balanced and exciting gameplay. Players will have the chance to test these changes and receive instant healing after each elimination in both Ranked modes and tournaments.
