Season 2 of Fortnite’s Chapter Five Reveals Mythical Powers Resembling Those of Gods

Epic Games has released a new revealing trailer for Fortnite fans, showcasing abilities that seem worthy of mythological deities.

In the trailer, glimpses of powers resembling lightning suggest the possible intervention of mythological gods. There are hints that mythical creatures are returning to the island, accompanied by new weapons allowing players to summon lightning akin to that of Zeus to confront their opponents. This brief preview has fueled earlier speculations about a themed season based on Greek mythology.

As Chapter Five of the Second Season unfolds, speculations have proven true, unveiling new locations and armaments that highlight the power of the gods. Among the new locations, Mount Olympus, the dwelling of Zeus in Greek mythology, stands out, along with the Grim Gate, a representation of the underworld. Upon entering the Grim Gate, players encounter Cerberus, the three-headed dog guarding the entrance, once again bringing elements of divinities and mythologies.

Regarding the new weapons, Zeus’s lightning emerges as a powerful weapon capable of unleashing electrical attacks against enemies and targets. The Thunderbolt, with a maximum of three charges and a significant cooldown between each use, demands strategy for its effective application. Meanwhile, the Gatekeeper Shotgun, intended for none other than Cerberus, fires three shots rapidly during use, making it ideal for close-quarters combat.
