You can use a flying bus to quickly move around your world, providing a strategic advantage to escape powerful enemies. Additionally, this update allows you to change the settings of an already created world. The v.30.40 update will be available in LEGO Fortnite starting August 6th 🚌
Fast Travel with the Battle Bus
The new Battle Bus fast travel network is ready to be used in your world. Bus Stations, a new type of station, will already be installed, allowing you to build your own Bus Stations by destroying an existing one and collecting Rift Fragments, an essential ingredient for construction.
At the Bus Station, the iconic “Battle Bus” will take you to the station of your choice. Travel from one Village to your favorite mining spot in seconds!
Customization and World Settings
Now you can change the settings of already created worlds without starting from scratch. Except for the game mode (Smooth Sailing, Survival, Sandbox, and Heavy Metal) and Player Elimination, all settings can be modified. Some caveats include:
- The locked settings of the Heavy Metal mode remain unchangeable.
- If you disable Enemies (including Stormers), existing enemies will remain in the game until defeated or you leave the area.
- If you disable Friendly Creatures or Inhabitants, they will remain in the game until you leave the area.
You can customize your game by disabling Hunger or adding Stormer Enemies for a more challenging experience.
New Miscellaneous Items
The v.30.40 update brings a series of fun new items:
- Pressure Plate: a button activated when stepped on, functioning while pressed.
- Trigger Plate: a button that, when stepped on, remains activated even without continuous pressure.
- Small Activated Balloon: a small balloon that can be inflated using the channel control.
- Large Activated Balloon: a larger version of the Small Activated Balloon.
To create these items, you will need to add Gunpowder to your inventory to unlock the recipes.
Pirate Lifestyle Pack
Embark on the pirate life with the Pirate Lifestyle Pack, available in the Store until August 6th for 1,000 V-Bucks. This pack includes:
- Captain’s Battlements: LEGO Kit with the Captain’s Battlements Construction and the Favorite Plank Decoration Pack (800 V-Bucks).
- Captain’s Cabin: Decoration Pack with 8 items, ideal for interior decoration (300 V-Bucks).

Map Improvements
- Zoom out much further to see the entire world.
- Use a virtual cursor to control the map with your controller.
- Add markers on the map to highlight important points for your travels.
Interface Updates
- Increase your inventory to 32 slots!
- Filter items in the Construction Menu by theme or configure it to quickly find what you need.
- Name your worlds and Villages, respecting the Epic Games Community Rules.
New LEGO Styles
The v.30.40 update brings new LEGO Styles for five Outfits, including the archaeologist and adventurer Indiana Jones:
- Clifftop
